Community Service & Outreach
The Public Relations & Community Service Committee is proud to sponsor Eastside Elementary School this summer by providing brown bag lunches to children in need.
When school is out, many children lose access to consistent, reliable meals. For many families, school-provided breakfasts and lunches are a vital source of nutrition during the academic year. Without that support in the summer months, the gap can be significant.
Together, we can help fill that gap.
How You Can Help
There are several meaningful ways to support this initiative and make a direct impact on local children:
1. Donate Non-Perishable Food Items
We are collecting kid-friendly, nutritious items that can be easily packed into brown bag lunches. These donations will go directly toward assembling meals for children in our community.
Suggested Healthy Non-Perishable Items:
- Peanut butter (individual cups)
- Whole grain crackers or thins
- Granola bars
- Applesauce or fruit cups (low or 0 added sugar / 100% juice)
- Trail mix or single-serve nut packs
- Popcorn (individual bags)
- Pretzels or baked chips
- Oatmeal packets
- Dried fruit (low or no added sugar preferred)
- Juice boxes (100% juice)
- Real fruit gummies
2. Make a Monetary Donation
Prefer to give financially? You can help us purchase food in bulk and fill in any gaps needed to complete lunches.
